As Whispers Of Wind Whistle By

I hear the sound of the drum.
My soul's adrenalin is now racing.
There's a monotone rhythm so steady,
my moccasined feet are now pacing.

I hear sister’s voices chanting,
Like a wolf's piercing howl.
The dove spirits are now flying,
On high with the snowy, white owl.

Listen to the bells on my ankles;
See the feathers in my hair,
Fresh paint I wear on my face,
waving my hands in the air.

Dreamcatcher held in my hand,
My heart soars where the eagles fly.
Giving thanks for all my gifts,
As whispers of wind whistle by.

So soon my soul, mind, and body.
Slip deeply into a trance,
as I pay homage to the great spirits,
In this, my sacred Indian dance.

music: Elan Michael "Earth and Sky"

Mysteria~
How very lovely to see you reach out and touch the sisters of the wind~
Blowing gently across the heart of this little Cherokee gal.

'I hear sister’s voices chanting,
Like a wolf's piercing howl.
The dove spirits are now flying,
On high with the snowy, white owl.'

You caused me to think of my sister who rode the wind to the moon-over journey.
Thank you, my friend.

Vicky: I am so glad you enjoyed this.

Martha and Logan: I felt you two dancing with me?  And it was good!

Waseem: Thank you, and I have also danced at temple too!  Tood forever to find my shoes again, but that is another story!

Marge: Take that graphic girl!  Is that a beauty or what?  Thank you for coming by the fire, but then again, I think you where there when I got there?

From the comments, I know I'm missing something special cause I'm not able to see the picture. *S* But the music and poem are superb... I can only echo those who've said that this one is a keeper... Beautiful! *S*
