 When I look at this old chest my mind goes back to childhoodtime a bakery's chest it was and I can still smell the scent of fresh breads waiting to be bought When I look at this old chest I see it standing in my parents kitchen bought because the baker stopped baking the plates and other kitchenstuff found a place When I look at this old chest just have to reach out my hand to touch it came to me after my mother moved away and it containes many memories I want to keep When I look at this old chest there's the tin sugarpot, and the clock ashtrays I love to search for at fleemarkets vases, candlesticks, photos, all so dear to me When I look at this old chest I get such a warm feeling inside me this treasure I will keep as long as I live for she is holding on to my present and past A rose is a rose is a rose...I guess... |

Titia~Titia~Titia~ Beautifully nostalgic. The bakers chest is so lovely ... I've got my grandmother's ... and it's very much admired in my heart. It's also a 'keeper-of-things' that I hold dear. I have an old kitchen hutch of my grandmother's...to this day when I open it I can smell anise. Loved this! |
