The File

My age has left a file with me
A chapter of ghosts by the sea
The lapping of wiles I did dream
With none of the solid of the gleam

I’ve walked a path among the weeds
With only ghosts of wishes needs.
The perfume of the flowers scent
Forever filled my dreamers vent.

Where in the mist of vapors plume
Only phantoms did I bloom.
The sweet of grace the warm of lace
It bloomed within this gardens space.

Where I have painted, wrote my soul
So very few see through the goal.
For most can only see facade.
The leavings of a bards bone yard.

And with this piece I leave a stone
For those that pass and I have known.

============================

YOU have painted your soul many times...
the walls of this place are painted in GOLD with your poems of grace, wisdom and vision.
I have learned so much from your poetry and I am better for every word...
Trust me Stinky... make no "bones about it" ...
your poetry's heart and soul is etched in the sands of time...
and your kind spirit is engraved on the heart of many here...and those close to you at home...

and OBVIOUSLY this tender render touched me...
love ya Sy... me

Profound and eloquent.  What would a forest be without trees?  For that matter, what would a tree be without leaves?  I enjoyed this one very much.

Sy ,
" File " to store for safe-keeping . An instrument with teeth , used to shape the  rough object to the desired form . Well done , not the least bit abrasive .

Seymour, dear... if what you write is from the bard's boneyard, I'll be happy with a fingernail scraping! *S* This is a beautiful poem... and you are a most appreciated poet! *S*
