~*Tears Upon The Wind*~

The moon has cast her shadow,
Onto the leaf-covered ground.
The wind blows through her hair,
But it doesn’t make one sound.

Upon the ground her moccasins press,
Tears fall from her dark eyes,
Staining her deerskin dress,
So sadly she muffles her cries.

All of her people are sleeping,
She stands there all alone.
The drum is quiet, her fire long out,
She is cold and as still as stone.

She stands in the midst of the night,
Praying to the spirits and creator above,
She cannot bear this mourning,
Or her life without her true love.

Finally, she as she can cry no more,
She warms herself by another's fire.
Memories surface of the only thing,
Her heart would ever desire.

A warrior's mourning widow,
Will her heart ever mend?
A sad young native woman,
They call,"Tears Upon The Wind".

Art: Lee Bogle "Eternal Dreams"
Music: Elan Michaels "Eternal Love"

Very beautifully written, and mystically embracing, Sharon.  You know my native American heritage...and these always captivate my heart, touching it in the most tender of places!
Hugs and smiles, and much love to you,
dawn

Logan: I don't know why, but I "care" a lot about "anyone" at all less fortunate than myself, and tend to hug strangers a lot!  Thank you kind sir!
