Love is All That I Know Life’s trivial joys sometimes linger inside There may be no laughter, yet there they abide Elated , but silent, my happy heart sings For a small bit of gladness life suddenly brings Life’s most bitter sorrow is secretly kept The wound is unseen, yet through years I have wept The scar deep inside still produces some tears For the beautiful dreams that were lost through the years The splendor of music can open the heart For tears of emotion to quickly depart Both sorrow and joy fill the life I have led I know not from which one the teardrops are shed My heart flashes back to the days long ago When the melody plays, love is all that I know Elizabeth Santos |

Hugz to you Liz, I am glad you have such a love to remember.. and it'll always be all u know, 'coz u know we all love u here.. Sorry, i haven't been reading a lot of poetry lately, so I've let a lot of yours slip by.. I'll have to catch up! I hate to miss reading any of your poetry, they are all so deliciously real.. -Lynne “One word can be magical. Imagine then, the effect of several words, together..” |
