Listening to every heart

Imagination Sparkles

at the young and tender age of four
when Disney was oh so much more
television was just black and white
but stardust came to us each night

a calendar’s page of eight little men
in colors pure as Snow White’s mien
several pages were separated from date
framed by wood and clear glass plate

hung in a bathroom for children’s delight
amid rainbow bubbles we’d play at night
we would gaze ‘pon diamonds and more
our eyes upheld, imaginations explored

it’s not hard for children to see
how sparkles are made, for pure glee
is held in their laughter and their giggles
children are why the jello jiggles

today I heard a little child’s laughter
it brought to me sounds sought after
for I heard that sparkle of glee
and these memories came to me

it’s one thing to believe in magical dust
it’s another to see reality rust
but never should we not appreciate
those small gifts that make little things great

Kari, this is beautiful, and to remember the sparkles is all we can do. I agree about the laughter of the little ones, it brings back  those feelings of innocent joy that escape me now. Much enjoyed this.

Kari dearest sister of my heart, wonderful, yes of such things are magic sparkles made.

And then spun into golden dreams by Kari's pen, absolutely beautiful love.

Take care
love as always
