This was it-- this was the day... the doctors said take him away. Nothing else that we can do. Take him now he belongs to you. His HMO won't cover this or ease the agony of fits... besides we do not have the beds. Take him home. He's almost dead. In caress, we gather him confusion--Fortunata's whim. At home, begins the deathwatch wait. The memories mock with painted face. And with him now the poetry, the grace of laughter in the leaves, with him all the heavens die... to hear his moans and hear him cry. I rage. To watch him give up hope. Steadfast still, refusing dope. For when death comes he'll meet its eye... and die awake to say goodbye. |

serenity, I hope this isn't true life!! The way the world is today, I am sure this happens more than any of us know. Bless the families and friends that stay to help ease the pain of a dear life leaving this world. Lets hope the next life is without pain. Hugs, ME |

Then he is to be admired for it. I set up this home equipment every day of my life, and see how the ones face what is to be. I know exactly what you are going through, both personally and professionally..my best thoughts go to you and my sincere admiration for him...gentle smile..very good outpouring Serenity. |

Your father is showing great spirit through all this - you are very much like him you know. There really isn't much we can say to ease the pain you and your family feels. I want to thank everybody---but don't know how. Don't be sad for ME tho--I've had a lifetime with a remarkable man...and had the good fortune to carry his name. Now if I can summon just a tenth of his dignity? And just a microcosm of his grace? Then, NOTHING can keep me down. ---Love you Dad and prayers abound for YOU!!!! I love you.  |
