I see images of yesterday
still playing through my mind,
I recall the day you went away
to go searching, a destiny to find.

Like a tape, I keep rewinding
hoping somehow to find a clue,
to help you find your answers
and understand the things you do.

In amongst these vivid images
I see moments that have went by,
and days filled with so much love
when our spirits flew on high.

These images are embedded
in my heart so very deep,
each one is such a treasure
a jewel that I must keep.

And just this very morning
I found a treasure, just a smile,
such warmth it brought into my soul
another image to be kept on file.

I sit spellbound by these jewels
as I linger here, a moment to play
I hit play back one more time...
I see images of yesterday.

When spirits wander
as they will
Out among the daffodil
Evening curtains rise in light
at finding even one delight
Of posey left in sweetest bloom
to light the heart
of one in gloom
A smile is sent
and finds it's way
upon the lips
of one to stay
In moments of the sweet recall
of wandering spirit in us all~
