I don't feel like working today
and that's the honest truth,
I feel like a little child
stuck somewhere in my youth.

I think the sun is shining brighter
and the skies seem a little more blue,
I don't know if they really are
or if it's just because of you.

I can not describe this feeling
nor can I explain the reasons why,
but I thank the Lord above
because today....I did not cry.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

This is lovely!  Too often we ignore the child in us....

sometimes, we should listen....

with imagining....

I don't feel like working today
that's the honestly said,
I feel the weight of age at play
and I’d rather be back in bed.

Sometimes it’s hard to continue,
Does someone give you an April Sky,
To brighten the things you must do,
I hope there a no days where you cry.

No tears fell from you today,
Is there cloud break in your sorrow,
May the tears forever go away.
Perhaps there will be none tomorrow.

I agree with Lady.  I try to keep in touch with the child in me, try not to forget that the skies really did seem more blue in childhood.  Nice work!

I really like this poem. *S* When we've been sad for a long time, freedom from that sadness produces weightlessness and euphoria... no one should have to work under such circumstances! *S*
