In Praise Of Reposts

Tell me dear poet and please tell me true
What does the word repost mean to you?
Do you see this as a golden opportunity?
To reap the chance again to read beauty
The chance to bathe again your cold soul
The chance to make yourself again whole
Tell me dear reader and now tell me true
What does the word repost mean to you?

Tell me beloved poet explain this mystery
Why does the word repost not say quality?
Don’t you know that this is another name?
For light and truth, for you to see them again
The chance to hear the words of liquid lure
To feel the touch of wonder bright and pure
Tell me beloved reader explain this mystery
Why does the word repost not say quality?

Tell me dearest poet how can you not see?
That the word repost is a chance to fly free
No one says of Van Gough, “Oh I’ve seen it”
Is beauty lessened because it’s an older hit?
Does music lose its magic after it’s played?
Or a view lose light if its scene is portrayed?
Tell me dearest reader how can you not see?
That the word repost is a chance to fly free

Take back the hope you gave,- I claim
Only a memory of the same

Amen!  You are so right, I spend 3/4 of an hour every single night in the archives, and you must know that is where all the "treasures" are.  Well done!

You argue the point very well,
it is dear to you I can tell.
Oft times a repost shines more,
with more meaning than before;
Your post is one of quality,
first or second shown poetry.

Good point.
If I haven't read it, it's new to me.
Thanks

You must have been reading my mind.

I'm going to Ireland in 2002!" Kathleen.
