Poe proves the point that fate is fickle:
When written, his tales earned hardly a nickle.
Edison,renowned as lord of invention,
Waited for years to get some attention.

Many a genius has sweat and striven,
Only to fall into bleak oblivion.
I find their experience,though vile and rotten,
Consoles me for fame I haven't gotten.
