They love you
as much as I
often echoing words
I've repeated
in your presence

At one time
I'd wanted to
capture your love,
& treasure it
for myself
flying into a
jealous rage
when I'd failed
to do so

Forced to let go
for I'd stirred
your wrath
chased you
into hiding & lost
your beautiful song
I'd never wept
so bitterly before
or since

but, I'd finally learned...

Beauty,
is to be shared
not captured
or locked away
for the enjoyment
of one
So,
as they gather
in awe of your
heart
I'll find my
place among
them & share
in the wonder...

now this I like. . . reminds us that love shared is love held. . .

and that just because you share with the crowd, doesn't mean that you will be forgotten. . .
