Waves to the West

Darkness into light of the sunrise
I stood there staring at the West
Calling out loud toward sleep
Sending a dream of rare beauty

I wondered along this shore
Why there is distance and sorrow
While the waves came close to me
Stopped, stared, then moved
I remained still as the tears flowed

A sudden thought came through
An image of someone emerged
There was beauty, and a smile
It seemed to have come with the waves
Right in front of my torn mind
My tears stopped, she was near me.

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love
(Daniel J D)

That last line brought it all home for me, Daniel, this is wonderful!
