In a flash of time, immeasurable
Our lives clicked into place
More quickly than a blink of an eye
A tick of the clock, a strike of a match
Infinite possibilities filled the space

All the yesterdays were forgotten
The rubble cleared away
The clutter out the window
All the noise, the disarray

From the chaos came the clarity
Our hearts were longing to hear
From tears, struggle and heartache
Our song rang out, crystal clear

Gone was our tunnel of blackness
With no apparent end in sight
In its place, illumination
A beckoning, shimmering light

In a flash of time, immeasurable
Our lives clicked into place

Infinite possibilities filled the space

All the tomorrows to be experienced
The climbing of mountains higher than high
The games, the laughter, the dances
All the simple moments as life goes by

Deeply knowing and understanding
All growth comes with a cost
Weaving together, braiding tightly
Uncovering slowly, never to be lost

With a new resolve we blossom

A line delightfully blurring
