The Feast Virginia Salter Table spread before us a patchwork banquet grape vines, apple orchards, berry fields, sorghum and corn. Windmill sentries stand guard as cirrus collect moisture hovering as angels ready with promise. Intermittent fields at fallow add rich, brown soil squares among verdant cherry orchards, along side prime-rib on the hoof, grazing at leisure. Cerulean pools and lakes mirror the heavens. Equine creatures glisten as sunlight dances each inch of flexing power as they begin the feast. © June 24, 2000 |

Cerulean pools and lakes mirror the heavens. Equine creatures glisten as sunlight dances each inch of flexing power as they begin the feast. Dinner is served. Sounds delicious. |
