Soaring Spirit

watch me
I can fly
my spirit soars
in the sky
and in this air
I can breathe
a convicted soul
has been reprieved
now here
in this chance
will be no victim
of circumstance
in this wind
I shall glide
my wings no longer
can be denied

Liberated to feel the joy and happiness of freedom.
Take flight and soar to heights unknown.

It's a glorious feeling that you've described here--makes the reader's spirit soar right along with it--well done!

I couldn't have said it better, Helen, reaching new heights keeps us all going.
