When love seems like a summer well,
Certain,
But a long, slow pull,
I dip into a time far back
And swallow deep
A palm-full cup.
And if I'm then a-thirsty still,
I leave my bucket on the porch,
Pick up my bamboo rod, and reel
And old, felt hat,
Then chalk the Mrs. out a note:
"Gone looking for
A stream to court."

Well, RL, I just finished my cornflakes and my 2nd cup of coffee, headed for a third soon as I peck out this admiration.
