The Light in the Sky

Slowly disappearing
As the tears flow
In the sky above
A friend has gone

Steps not moving
Feet refuse to move
Heart trembling, aching
The light has gone
A friend has left

Shadows of solitude
Return, re-emerging
Silence of the fear
Of no hands to hold
A friend so dear
Has left and gone

I'll wait for that light
To re-emerge from the sky
That shining star so bright
The return of a true friend
To take away my fears
And wash away my tears

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love
(Daniel J D)

I know this feeling so well. My heart goes out to the soul who loses a friend.
