Love Like Hate

love
like hate
can be
so pure
one
I want
the other
I endure
why has
it been
my fate
to be so
touched
by hate
and cloak
it’s self
under another’s
name
for
no matter
what you
call it
it is
the same

...a beautiful, yet simple, expression of the dueling powers of love and hate...how true the thought of one misrepresenting the other....

This thin line of poetry represents the thin line of difference between the two emotions as light and dark a day make.

as usual I re-read this piece like I do most of your poems just to savor...
to read only once would be a crime...

I enjoyed!

Yet the spirit, the heart...will survive,  even this.  It must!

Yes, though disguised, hate always gives itself away for what it is.  You've said this well.
