I don't know
what your intentions are
but, for right now,
you've come real far.
The man I knew
seems to be back;
could it be our love
will get back on track?
For months and months
you wouldn't even talk;
You made me feel
like I could take a walk.
I tried and tried
to make you see
I'd offered my love
full and free.
At some point in time
did I let you down so
That you would be content
to just let me go?
Or, have you been wrong
in your thinking...
when you thought my faithfullness
was stinking?
Will we ever be able
to sit down and talk
open and honest
without
you trying to walk
out of my life
once again
like you did
back then.
