I spied a fluttering-- frantic flapping--squeaky chirps-- little bird too young to sing. my loyal friend, the predator. I grabbed her collar in mid-leap; I had to save the little bird. of danger that was lurking there baby wren hopped much too near and quickly learned the lesson--fear. of growling dog and bird too bold. I thought I must be quite absurd as tears welled up for baby bird. But then the baby looked our way. "EEK!" she peeped and flew away. but not by fear, but love of sky. I want to live, to laugh and sing all for the joy of spread of wing. than flight to keep a dog at bay. |

I, too, want to learn to fly, but not by fear, but love of sky. I want to live, to laugh and sing all for the joy of spread of wing. I hope I learn a different way than flight to keep a dog at bay. To be like the birds and fly through the clouds, true freedom. LOved this insight. |
