Iambe started drinking One night after she came back And I swear that woman Could drink any man Under the table After a fifth of Jack Daniels Split between us, She began to talk. Now Iambe was never Much at telling things About herself, so I was More than a little surprised. She didn’t want to dance I heard about Alaska And the months she spent there Dancing for pipeliners “Good money” she said “But you never could stay warm.” She told me then about Arizona “too damned hot” this time she slurred a bit.. I poured her another shot And gave her a fresh beer to chase it, Let her drink them both Then picked her up And carried her back To the bed Once I had her settled And down to her lace I went in and turned The stereo on And Danced |

makes me think of a dance named...well I heard it in a movie or on a t.v. show...years ago, maybe HBO, but the name, you see, isn't for this forum's eyes...it was a form of hula |
