Before Humanity Takes Over Again Mountains high stand silhouetted once parched, now drenched delighting in the refreshing dew kissed nature of the land raptured in song, birds sing all willfully yielding to this milky white mist that is present This is a time to seek answers reflect upon decisions made to contemplate why this way! why not that way and would that road have been any easier traveled ? Remind one’s-self the creator is there waiting for our acknowledgment “He exists” freely blessing in abundance all our desires, wants and needs showing the way to the shores of tomorrow To determine your own self-worth making value your claims upon this land float where only the mind can take one yet render heart felt peace upon it’s return with out stretched hands bathe them in Mother Earth’s kiss of sweet rambling essences But alas knowing the time will come for this brief refreshing time of enlightenment to dissipate in to oblivion giving way to daily calamity and peace must reside in the beholders eye for humanity once again will take over this land By, Cerenity "God doesn't have to be reminded that we exist. We have to be reminded that He exist!" (Writer Unknown) [This message has been edited by Cerenity (edited 06-17-2001).] |

{~,^} couple of corrections? "...road of been any easier traveled" change "of" to "have" "To determine you’re own self-worth" change "you're" to "your" "taken over this land" change "taken" to "take" BINGO! Love it! |

Remind one’s-self the creator is there waiting for our acknowledgment “He exists” freely blessing in abundance all our desires, wants and needs showing the way to the shores of tomorrow Judging by this poem is seems to me that you are paying perfect attention to what is going on around your (in no way mundane) life. POwerful words, reminds me of an E.E Cummings quote "progress is a comfort disease." "Build a man a fire, he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life". this is very well done my friend. . . one thing, in the last stanza, third line, make in to read into. . . it's very deep and thought-provoking. . .and yes, I'll agree with Brian that it did remind me of cummings. . . great job with this. . . -------------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

Cerenity I really have to agree with the entire context of this poem. It is so true and very sad. It's sad that governments have dominated their citizens to the point that they are dominated by money, power and greed..... I love this poem! |
