Alone with my thoughts
and I'm thinking of you;
my mind doesn't know
whether to run or to stay;
my heart says,
"you just can't turn him away".
My emotions run
on a roller coaster course
My head spins in a circle
like a carousel horse.
Just hearing your voice
runs my blood hot and cold;
It chills, yet heats,
right down to my soul.
Are you playing a game
or have you come to see
you have a heart
full of love for me?
How do I find out?
How do I know?
Is it gonna hurt if I stay
or hurt worse if I go?
As these questions torture my mind
I look back in time...
there was a day I had your heart;
I suppose I'll just wait and see
if you give it back to me...
