I got my chorus from your walk You know just how the angels talk That is how I fell for you I saw the step was in you too I was at the cliff when you leapt Staring straight and softly wept Could my tears have brought you back You walk the earth in threads of black I see you as I pen a dirge And to the cliff I have an urge The salty air of tears and loss Thresholds seen as ones to cross You said I wrote far too much Maybe even lost my touch You know just how the angels talk I stole my chorus from your walk [This message has been edited by wayoutwalt (edited 06-17-2001).] |

Yanno this was an excellent poem - and I really liked your approach in this one, speaking as an onlooker. Enjoyed. ~*~ Remember to tell someone today that you love them as tomorrow may never come ~*~ |

Wow! Quite the poem Walt. I love the insight into yourself in this! The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up |

Walt~ These thoughts in verse are such as to make the heart sigh ! How wonderfully you have stretched and grown in your writing. I really am enjoying this one soooooo much. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
