We danced in circles Leading back on themselves Blinded by the sunshine promised Anesthetized by leaf or wonder drug Trampling the flowers, our youthful innocence wilted when seeds planted in hope’s womb grew grotesquely into our parents plantings Excessively squandered Our righteous self serving nothing more Than panderings to the mass appeal And fleshly delights shared freely Still, you screamed… Indignant that our passage seemed Determined to question all you held close All you prayed to in passing on Sundays I still can see the folly And feel the hate of change Experienced so broadly across a generation That then became the selfish ones Replacing roses with weeds Common thistle down dreams Still Fed snow in inhalations or dreamy Designer ways to numb the facing of self-deceit |

Beautifully done, Hair!!! Full of depth of meaning, yet tender in its render. |

I love this. Quite a commentary in retroprective introspection...if that made any sense at all...excellent work! |
