There was only one thought In his head as he flashed A determined smile A lifetime of hurt He would make it all Go away When he grew old and Had to give up The things that made him Feel alive He was already dead But the ringing in his ears And the pain in his soul Would never, ever Go away He couldn’t find a reason For continuing on Like this or Living to die one day Doesn’t make a difference Doesn’t make any sense at all Maybe he’ll find something To believe in That will make this All worthwhile, somehow And make it all, Go away |

Perhaps...it is the mother instinct in me, that makes me want to make all of this hurt go away... or perhaps it is because I have what is referred to as tinnitus, and know what pain the ringing in one's ear causes.... but how you make me feel this.... extraordinary.... |
