The words just sort of came to me this morning, so I thought I'd post. It's from the view point of a teen female in futuristic earth... *smiles* I'd always admired them the way their polished forms stood proud towering easily over the tallest buildings They were a shield, a protection, guardians of the universe earth's newest champions in times without heros when wars against one another became moot as imagined threats became larger then movie screens... He was silver & blue a work of art fashioned from the hands of man, surely but no less beautiful his eyes were diamonds staring out from his immobile face shadowed by thick ridges of brow, glinting in the sun~ from any vantage point I could easily see him Like his brothers, he was merely a vessel in need of a pilot A puppet for destruction at the whim of powers that be, I'd always wanted to get inside, discover his inner workings bring him to life & see if beneath the cold steel of his breast plate, there echoed a soul in need of rescuing merely childish fancy I know... Tonight, with no moon his eyes, the only beacon in the night casts it's lonely glow over the city & I hope with all my heart he sees me too, for I've always admire them... ~Tier 6/01 |
