i know this rift
between us
is all my fault

i misunderstood
and overreacted
to your words

now it seems
as if we may not
see eye to eye

i hope you know
i'd do anything
to make it right

i just want to make
peace by putting
it in the past

i am sorry
i accept total
responsibility

i made it
this way
unintentionally

i'd never
set out to
hurt you

i care for
you more than
i can say

please please
hear me out
here tonight

i promise
to learn
from this

if only you
can find it
in your heart

to grant me
forgiveness for
wronging you

i know
i hurt you
i am sorry

with
all my
heart

All writing comes
by the grace of God.

It takes courage to say those words, it takes understanding to accept them in the spirit meant, Then as an old man, I will say, please accept such a cry from the heart, this very day...gentle smile

when you really love someone, you always forgive, I'm sure this person has already done that because YOU are lovable.

You should not take all the blame onto yourself.  I've learned that it's not always the fault of one person.  There's always another side, and if that person has asked forgiveness, as you have, then you should forgive, and move on.

This is a great poem, sorry for rambling, but it said a lot to me.

You are human.
You are a daughter of God.
You are forgiven.

To err is human, to forgive divine. How could they not forgive.

Logan: Thank you, it does come from the heart.  You are a wise man.

Kathleen: You are right, this person has forgiven me.  I just wanted to show them that I can admit when I am wrong.  YOU are lovable yourself my friend.  Thank you!

PV: I take the blame because I was the cause of it.  Both parties are sorry and it is now in the past.  It does speak volumes.  Thanks!

Helen: I have been forgiven and know I always will be.  Nothing will ever come between this person and I.  In the past it goes!

JLR: Got it!!  Whoo Hoo!!

Sunshine: Bless you!

autumn: They are of the divine in my eyes and hold forgiveness in their heart.  Thanks!

...how I long to hear these very words from one that has dealt me so much pain...it takes strength and character to stand in this vulnerable position...oh that others could be so strong...

It's always hard to say I'm sorry but when you do it set you free and makes you a better person. Loved this one!

Fancy: I hope you hear those words someday.  I sense they would help bring closure to your suffering.  It's not easy to show one's vulnerability, not for me anyway. Thanks and best of luck.

faterider: Thank you, when it's important enough you'll do it.  Trust me.

walker: It sets you free and allows you to forgive yourself, which is just as important as the other person forgiving you.  Thank you!
