Speak to Me, My Love, Seven my love, you know that Mr. Johannson has come to talk with me seriously, it seems as his wife has now been at Highland some seven years but my dear, my dear… let’s walk to the soddie, and keep this between us and in private…. ~*~ the wind is cooler this day, though summer sun fingers rays, gleaming down touching ground, through the broken, billowing, high white clouds sun glistening off the cottonwoods, soon the air shall warm, the clouds will build monumentally, then blacken till night be the day, thunder will rent the air the rains will spill ~*~ I miss our times here in the cool of the soddie, my love, we did not need much then warmth, each other, our dreams I am uncertain that I would share my life again, the farm manages well when I do need assistance, the menfolk of our community do not seem to mind my questions and the wives are my friends, understand my needs it is not like it use to be, the elders now give credence to my mind although there are a few young upstarts who would bully me into a sale but it shall not be done, not yet but Mr. Johannson, now this is a matter different, and one of the heart he is an artist, as you recall, and he has seen me when writing in my journals, has asked to read of them, and has been pleased with them he has said that my words write the wind he sees my face in it the strength behind it even though weathered now not that I mind I left any idea of myself behind long ago but you know I have always appreciated beauty and you always allowed me to aspire through my words ah my love, how I miss that touch of you guiding my thoughts through your soft whistling, your tender urges allowing me to shift from page to sheets and back again you knew when I needed inspiration and were there to supply it in your strokes and holdings, in your ease of letting go and your gentle taking back you called it priming I called it timing and we would both laugh we were good, you and I, in all ways and now I need to know, can you tell me, should I bind myself to this artist, who can see in my words the pictures I would paint, if I had that talent or is it better to tell him to find a lass who has never truly loved before, so that he might be first, to teach her in his touch either by hand or brush oh yes, I appreciate him, very much, and it is a joy to speak to him of his travels, and to read the books he brings to me as they do so inspire my mind… but there is the difference… he brings me the books you brought me the blank papers to fill speak to me, my love, I am still listening…. ~*~ the wind is cooler this day, though summer sun fingers rays, gleaming down touching ground, through the broken, billowing, high white clouds sun glistening off the cottonwoods, soon the air shall warm, the clouds will build monumentally, then blacken till night be the day, thunder will rent the air the rains will spill good comes to those who wait ~*~ |

And, when can we expect the next installment? My vocabulary fails me. I have exhausted all in praising your work. I'd just like to see more. Live for love. Without love, you don't live. |

Karilea, I've always enjoyed your writing, but this is a depth of which I've never seen. This story tugs at the heart in so many ways. The love displayed in these seven parts is the type that all people long for in their lives. You truly are an amazing writer and I applaud you loudly. Michael Proust- |

This is the first poem I have read here..and it is absolutely wonderful... Until you are are near it, you will never see it, until you live it you will never know it...this is why we must not judge it. |

Like so many of us...sometimes we wait until the very end....to say how much a writing meant to us. Some of you have read and visited this land and soddie with me... and kept your thoughts private until the very end.... thank you for the time you took, just to open, and read, what was...and what could be, from one's dreams.... |
