The Edge of My Living I awake each morning with hope in my heart, with dreams from the night in my past. Words unspoken, to follow my steps... the pain of loving, to cast it's shadows, creating their snapshot of me, staining of face, in it's tears. A bittersweet feeling has taken the place of your warmth that would calm all these fears. Lonely is lonely, you can't understand the moon though, my secret, my quest. Raindrops today, continue their touch, kissing my morning to test the resolve of my spirit, the balance of mind, the influence, the hold of the reins. I'm drowning in heart, my chamber of dreams, as the edge of my living remains. A child of the moon, my heart and my soul, the moods that waver with time. The river of tears, the pain given up the words I repeat..."nevermind". When the rain falls today, and the sun peeks from clouds and the colours of arches appear, my thoughts will remember, the colour of you and emotions of wanting you near. Nevermind... Senryu "Nevermind" words crowd the edges of my living. Thoughts holding the reins. Reins of You...Cinquain Mindless Words create thoughts Colouring my edges. Blue shades, wanting the reins of you Resolved ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". ...Pope John Paul II [This message has been edited by nakdthoughts (edited 05-22-2001).] |

When the rain falls today, and the sun peeks from clouds and the colours of arches appear, my thoughts will remember, the colour of you and emotions of wanting you near. Truly beautiful. I'm glad I read this. |

Sandra... thank you for reading..I hope you are well Interloper... thank you, I love all forms of poetry and some poems lend themselves to a few different interpretations. Kathleen... Yes, isn't it fun to see how one idea can be made into three poems? Morgoth When the rain falls today, and the sun peeks from clouds and the colours of arches appear, my thoughts will remember, the colour of you and emotions of wanting you near. was the most meaningful verse to me...thank you *s S Arthur... More edgey, I am afraid, than hopeful and thank you for reading and responding. I appreciate your kind words, and I will always experiment in rhyme and form... ~Softsmiles Maureen "The worst prison would be a closed heart". |
