Lifetime’s Design

there are things
I see in proof
I’ve closed my eyes
to see the truth
I want more
than a hand to hold
when my time is up
and I grow old
there are things
that I can know
without
lack of things that
having no feelings show
and none
has to do with lust
it is more the power
of divine trust
for lust
on days fades away
and in
this trust
has the power
to stay
and in a lifetime
to design
I wash my brush
and color it mine
