Legend of Pearl In the old time, The time before there Was land, Water ruled. Many beings lived In water and paid homage To the power and plenty Afforded, and all Was good One day Moon decided to visit this place Where Water ruled, As she had heard That one could see themselves In Water’s eyes And Moon so wanted To see herself. As she traveled across Sky And drew closer Land felt a pull on his heart And began to stir, Rising up from under Water, where he had lain for Many ages. Water was angry And looked upwards At approaching Moon And called harshly For her to come no closer. Moon paused, Shaken by such strong words And told water She only wanted to see herself In his eyes. Water did not relent And with great chaotic waves Motioned her away. Broken hearted and tired Moon began to cry, Pale white teardrops That fell into the depths Of Water’s world Over time, Moon's teardrops were picked up and carried By some who lived In Waters world Today, we still find The tears of Moon, And call them pearls. Perhaps, if you are taking requests, you would do blue quartz, or turquoise.... for these are wonderful reads! |
