Dare to venture, To lands unknown, dreams unseen, Worlds foretold, Walking slowly tracing unseen steps, Directions misguided, yet down this road, Are stories to be told, Streets glisten, seem as pure as gold, Somehow feet must trod these unpaved roads, To learn of life still that must unfold, Years come and go, but to truly gain, Grip unto, meld into the plan, We must somehow make a stand, To see what so few see, For this we make a plea, For peace to all humanity. Constantly wars come and go, Foretelling of blood shed, In battles for the sake of peace, When will we learn and yearn for peace. |

I don't know when we'll learn but I know many of of us yearn for peace! This is a great poem.......a thinking poem! The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up |

Thanks Temptress, dreams unseen, titled because I don't think we'll ever see peace, but we can continue yearning for it. Ethome, thank you, I don't know why I held onto this, but I think about so many wars we go through, so many have died for the sake of peace, Logan thank you so much for your kind words. |

gentle smile, I liked this, very subtle and hidden messages in this, and I would like for it to have another chance |
