I’ve had to face a new world As my life became unfurled Right before my very eyes Tangled in a web of lies I turn my back to the wrath Setting my feet upon a new path Leading to the other side Where in darkness I no longer hide The sun shines brightly once again Unaware of where I’ve been It lights the way I must go Although my heart already knows I place my faith in the Lord above Whose mercy is gentle as a dove He alone forgives my sin Allowing me to be born again I have found an inner peace Oh the feeling of sweet release No longer weary from the fight My soul has found new flight With each day the dawn breaks Over mountains, meadows, and lakes Signaling yet another chance To participate in life’s great dance Please don’t let it pass you by Dry the tears from your eyes Go, my friend, and take part Hurry before the music starts Not one moment will you regret The people that you have met For each in some way makes a mark Upon the surface of your heart All writing comes |
