Virginia Salter a chill has come into this day and YESTERDAY was PERFECT the sky is gray, yes, oh, so gray I hold this day in suspect now tell me, self why do I fuss why do I think that I and all of earth, yes, all of earth should have the whole darn pie why do I think that every day should be filled with sun and gentle breezes why do I think such childish thoughts, they fill my day, they seize it for, after all, I truly see I’d not know of their blessings, if every day was perfectly dressed with Sol’s caressings sunshine is trying, with all its might, to peel away the clouds with drying fingers, it parts their strings, as breeze puffs ‘way the shroud yet, wonder I, with all of me if chill shall be warmed and fleeting for as the cat, my lovely cat, I wish to crawl twixt sheeting then snuggle in blanket under chin with waterbed a-heating all truss’ed up as slumbered pup whose lonely heart is beating © June 10, 2001 |

Sounds like you were really good and comfortable in there under the covers. I'm sorry about you being like a lonely pup but I'm sure that can be resolved! Great poem this! Somewhere in the world it's raining or cloudy....I enjoyed the read! |

thanky you scattered showers are predicted for today, but from my view here, sunshine keeps them at bay this was written on Saturday, me thinks, or Friday, hmmm, better go look nope, it was just Sunday when it was so cold. How time flies. No, doesn't fly, I guess, if it seems 2 or 3 days ago and it was only yesterday. Weird! [This message has been edited by VAS (edited 06-11-2001).] |
