Broken hearts can happen

When you love strong,
it's when it's dangerous,
that's when broken hearts can happen.
When you give everything for love,
that's when you can get crushed.
Love is wonderful,
it is,
but it leaves you vulnerable, it leaves you bare.
Love is risky,
but who can say no to love?
It is good to love and feel loved.
But be warned,
love gives but takes all.
Broken hearts happen,
that's the gamble in love.

You're so right Walker....remember the old song that Phil Collins sang.....

"You can't hurry love
you just have to wait.
Cause love don't come easy
it's a game of give and take."

Well you're right it can take more than it can give sometimes! Good poem!

lol @ balladeer. The risks are real...the rewards are real. Sometimes when we're lucky the good outweighs the bad and we're left with a love that was worth the risk. Good one, walker!
