Words Wedded to meaning Lie like virgins on wedding night Across the pristine sheets Waiting to be caressed By eyes and mind, As they give themselves To this new lover. Exposed, In half dressed ideas, They are still a mystery one never tires Of trying to coax answers from. Secrets Held closely in between The saying and the meaning, Half slips which keep the light from shining through thin material, are the last to be discarded and left lying in piles for laundering or re-wearing Quickly They become familiar And for granted they Turn their charms on new Eyes and minds… Seducing them as They did me |

I have to agree with the others! Words are taken so many different ways depending on their arrangement and application...well done! |

every nuance, every innuendo, every soft play of worded delight is amusing in its shift, the weight of which is silk to skin... a reader's delight.... |
