The Journey
~* for Richard *~

He closes his eyes
Deep grey and blue,
The will of the wild,
All senses, true.

Is he alone,
As he drifts through the night,
Further and further,
Away from the light?

Sights and sounds,
Unfamiliar to him,
Yet he feels them inside,
Knowing them intimately within.

See the wake, behind,
And water break ahead?
Is the power to navigate,
Still clear in his head?

His journey begins,
Long before he sets sail.
Yet somehow he is ready,
Acceptance his veil.

And when he returns,
Back from the sea,
I hope he will be stronger,
And willing to "be".

~*to smoother sailing my dear friend*~

Sharon...this was such a lovely tribute to him, I know that he will be touched by your beautiful words...I pray that it uplifts him.  You are such a loving and giving lady...and so many are blessed with the wonderful gift of your friendship.
You are, indeed, an angel on earth.
Hugs and smiles to you, and much love,
dawn
