All For Naught

Where oh where
has my fair maiden gone?
Is it really true
her lips now kiss a lover new?

Tell me please.
Please tell me it isn't so.
I gave her my heart.
I gave her my soul.

I could have loved her.
Gave her all I've got.
I thought I knew her.
Apparently all for naught.
