~*~ Another Tale Of Camelot ~*~~* The Rogue Knight And Raven Haired Beauty *~I wish to tell you another story of Camelot,Another sad tale of the days of old. Where knights were our protectors, And for a kingdom, they fought so bold. This is a tale of a rogue knight of yesteryear, Now I know years have long since passed, But with this knight died a legend, Of his beautiful lady, a raven haired lass. This handsome knight wore a suit of shining armor, The raven beauty, a flowing gown of red and white. And in the evening’s shadows she hid and waited, Then whispered his name from her window at night. He and his horse came quietly every night, Like so many others, to her beauty he was drawn. But soon each night she would say, "hurry my love, You cannot be here at the rise of dawn". She was young and craved but the danger. Their intense romance he felt meant little more, Than another forbidden trophy for her to win, Each night as he came knocking on her door. Now, he was a rogue no better than this lady, A hunted murderer, thief, liar, and cheat. But to him, she was a beautiful, willing child, With whom he could share his lovemaking sweet. Now, perhaps they only denied their real love, And perhaps really knew it full well deep inside, Or maybe even it was already too late to see, All the unspoken love and truth in their lies. She watched from her tower window one night, Tears of horror streaming from her eyes, As in the distance, soldiers came riding, And captured her knight, from over the rise. Through wide eyes she saw him fall off his horse, Against the golden sky, his silhouette black. And as he turned back to wave to her, A soldier shot another arrow in his back. As the soldiers picked him up and carried him, Her heart broke as they took her lover away, She wished that she had told him that she loved him, And now for only his soul, would she lovingly pray. Memories flooded in of him coming quietly every night, And she knew it was to her beauty he was drawn. How she wished he could come just one more time, She would make love to him long past the dawn. Now as usual, there’s a moral to this tale of Camelot, I only used the knight and the maiden as the bait, I hope that after you read this little tale, You’ll tell someone you love them before it’s too late! art: "Guinevere", Jonathan Earl Bowser music: Unicorn Dance ~*~ Remember to tell someone today that you love them ~*~ [This message has been edited by Mysteria (edited 06-06-2001).] |

Kit: Wished I could have rhymed it! Thank you for reading it. Andy: I had Lucky Charms, want some? Sunshine: "You" took the bait, I somehow doubt I fooled you though. Cpat Hair: Is there a style? Well how about that! I didn't know I could even do one. Glad you liked it! ~*~ Remember to tell someone today that you love them ~*~ |
