The hour is late In bed attire and slippered feet I immerse myself in nights' quiet embrace One small lamp provides soft illumination to the narrative And with a steaming cup of coffee within my grasp I recline comfortably in my chair to review my weathered past The book is a rarity of one, a genuine priceless first-edition Priceless to me anyway...and I had thought also to you I not so long ago entrusted it to your care but you callously tore the pages from their spine And knowingly changed the words to fiction Now I sit here in reflective solitude and read the truths no longer found in the body of the work But scribbled almost illegibly in the margins of dog-eared sheets The pain I have felt is material to the journal of my life And I have scrawled many an erroneous line upon its yellowed pages And as I wonder what shall be penned upon the leaves yet to turn I am saddened by those words already composed The heavy burden of regret has dropped me to my knees And I am intensely weary of the struggle to gain my feet |

Hmmmmm...my thought of a title is "A Rarity Of One", I think it well instates how your past is unique to everyone elses in some way and how the next edition will hold new promise and joy from past sadness, in your original form. BRAVO!!! I enjoy your words ever so much! You have such a beautiful heart, dear friend, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

Oh...my....titles are so important.... Erroneous Lines... as for the work, itself....it is indeed fraught with the weight of emotion you intended to display... a sad Bravo....and a keeper.... |

Thank you for your suggestions and kind words. So far I am leaning towards "A Rarity of One" |
