Hurt’s Tattoo sometimes it hurts beneath your skin you want it to go away wish it would end try to wash it away in your tears still embedded the design is clear it is the color of despair unwanted tattoo that you wear in time shall lighten it’s tint change just a part of life rearranged "...the rest is silence" (Hamlet) Shakespeare |

Helen, I liked this. Reminded me of a discussion once (think I wrote something about too, but never too sure) about the biology of pain. We learn to retreat our fingers from the scorch of the flame, and the body remembers, so that self-preservation becomes instinct, and further evidence shows that psychological pain carries the same biological response. (re: Pavlov's Dog) So thanks for the re-think, you've gone deep with this one! |

before they turn all ugly black the many colors of despair yet may, with hope, anew come back a rainbow, after tear washed air [This message has been edited by Krawdad (edited 06-05-2001).] |

you always have a unique way of looking at the world. . . that's why your writing is so excellent. . . ![]() ------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |
