The Shape of Y I am nailed to a cross, staked like a Y Rooted in the earth to the height of the sky Nail by each hurt by a hammers pure dirt And my ears only hear the scream of alert. I shrivel in the sun and rage in the light Shaken by the stun and age in the night Pained by the tethers of tar and feathers Struggling with the drain of time and fetters. My eyes see views of humanity Smothered in a sauce of vanity Apocalyptic in the shape of earth’s tear And I hear sounds, of four horsemen quite near. A vulture has come that visits all thrones Flown in from Hades to nibble my bones The Y is my cross and your cross as well And I swear to God we’re all going to hell. Forgive this picture I painted too real Or would you rather I paint it ideal? |

sy, there's so many references here--this is intriguing...although I'm not sure if my interpretation was your intent, I somehow feel that was part of your intent! (if that didn't make any sense to ya, nevermind.) As Nate said, very deep...and just this once, I wish you'd explain further...c'mon, whisper? |

Forgive this picture I painted too real Or would you rather I paint it ideal? ========================= my goodness Stinky ... me thinks me needs to bring some gator girls down ... and take you and Randy to the beach You boys need a vacation *S* I'd almost be worried about ya ... IF THIS WASNT THE COOLEST DAMN POEM I'VE READ IN A LONG TIME!!! The imagery and inner rhyme are FABULOUS!! ********** No I dont want thou to ... "paint it ideal" I want thou to write ... exactly what thy feels. Let us read thy mind ... wisdom of empyreal. Recite thou sorrow ... confess thy achilles heel. Scheme your dreams ... paint us thy visions surreal. Pen from the dark ... the night shall conceal. Write in the light ... thy secrets will reveal. For when thou writes ... thou spirit heals. *winkiewinkie* me It's such a clever innocence with which you show myself to me |

Sir Tabin... a quality of question that deserves no less than the truth be spoken. You have done well to do so and none should ask less of your words. As always, your insight is much appreciated. I bow to you and yours with thanks for sharing all that you do. |

Nothing light about this one, Seymour... except the spotlight on pain and uncertainty... it's brilliant. *S* Excellent work! |
