“STRUMMING ON MY GUITAR” by Bill Charles ~~~~ I’m just a gentle guitar playing man, quiet and mild, even sing a song now and then, smoothly, while I smiled… I also do some lead, which means picking each string, play rhythm too, and many say my voice, is quite the thing… Picking and strumming I do, but very sad inside, didn’t really show it though, as I learned ways, how to hide… One night on stage I looked around, and there she was, caught my eye she did, and I sang to her a love song, just because… I played rhythm and sang softly, thinking I couldn’t miss, and before the night was over, she gave me one, tender kiss… She stole my tired heart, chased away the sadness, I don’t have to hide it anymore, for now it’s full of happiness… These days she holds my hand right on stage, her lovely voice singing to par… this beautiful woman I sang a song to, while “Strumming On My Guitar’… ~~~~ |

One day, I hope to hear a love song played... just for me.... just because. *S* This is lovely, Bill! [This message has been edited by suthern (edited 04-07-2001).] |

I love this. Just last night I was thinking I should write a poem about my late husband and his guitar. It was an important part of him. Joyce |
