It’s happening again Deja vu This scene that is about to begin Why does history have to repeat itself? You know what I mean The airing of the dirty laundry Oh if these walls could talk But for now I will strip them of their memory. I can no longer sweep this All this (throwing hands in air) Under the rug. I try looking out the window But my vision is marred. The stale smoke of your cigar lingers Stagnant of days gone by. So I have nothing left to do I inhale a deep breath I turn to you and begin (pause) (sighs) My Spring Cleaning |

Kitkat, Interesting idea on the wash-that-man-right-out-of-my-hair theme. Panne |

KitKat~ Oh ... I like the very descriptiveness of this - 'The airing of the dirty laundry Oh if these walls could talk But for now I will strip them of their memory. I can no longer sweep this All this (throwing hands in air) Under the rug.' Well said, poet. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
