~Testament Of The Heart~ I, being of sound mind and body ... do now bequeath to you my heart ... I don't need it's services anymore ... it's just a useless orb now that we're apart. And while I am at it ... allow me to surrender to you ... my soul, It's merely an empty shadow now ... as losing you has taken a costly toll. Next I wish to return to you ... my fascination ... my anticipation, for they are only words cliche' ... along with imagination ... and inspiration. Take with them my vision ... things of beauty I no longer need to behold, no need for twilight sunsets, silvered moonbeams ... nor nature's secrets untold. Last but never, ever least ... I leave to you my need of poetry, I have no use for my muse ... my pen of you silenced by an act of destiny. All these things I leave behind ... promises engraved in verse and rhyme, along with love unending ... this testament of my heart etched in the sands of time. JanetMarie-Poet~ Your petition of grievance, having been brought before this court - duly heard with compassion - is hereby DENIED. Sentencing is meted out with utmost reason - You are hereby sentenced by this court to the following, as allowed by law: 1. It is adjudged and decreed that you are sentenced to serve no less than LIFE in the submission of poetry to the site of Passions In Poetry. 2. You WILL report to this court of Passions In Poetry each and every day for the duration of your sentence. 3. There is to be no commuting of this sentence by any other Court Of Jurisdiction. Sweet SS...Lord knows I feel this one...and have felt this one...we give it all up to love...and then when we give up love...we never seem to get everything back...always a part of us that leaves without a forwarding address....but if we are lucky...strength soon fills the holes left behind and the next time love comes...and it always does...we are wiser...well ok...we are stronger for the traces left behind..the lessons in those sands of time...Love you me girlie...and this poem says why you shine baby...and shine like no other~  "I wish the real world would just stop |

Been there, done it (a few times): There would be no man ever take MY muse! See, I now have this very short fuse. Been married three times, I'm seasoned now, Do I send them packing - yep, fast and how! They don't get my heart, my soul, my muse, Fascination, or imagination; this I'll use. Vision I'll need to again inspire my mind, To write of the new love I'm hoping to find. I say good ridence -you stomped on my heart, But you gave me tools for a brand new start. I know that I've told you before that I read a whole lot more of you than I reply to, but,...your words often shift my mood, my thoughts, to these very deep, very reflective places and,...and I become overwhelmed sometimes with the depth, with the beauty, the truth, the oh god, weight of it all. I talk about you. To people here, at home, in my life, I admire you, I, I never know how to respond to your words because they get so inside of me, they leave me aching for you at times and I don't know why I'm telling you all this here, I don't, but I just wanted you to know that you are important to my poetry reading eyes and I only wish you *Peace for every minute of your time. Each read of this poem leaves me stunned... fortunately, all the giggling at the replies restores my breath. *S* (ROFL @ Marge THE BOSS JUDGE, Balladeer the ever gracious, ME the clean queen and Mysteria with attitude. *G*) And now, sweet poet... just about the time I think I've read your best, you present another option... This is stunning work! "have no use for my muse ... my pen of you silenced by an act of destiny."
