Empty Promises

Words.
Heard before,
Like empty promises,
Never filling the void,
That echoes within,
Resounding with hollow feelings,
Left to rest.
Words,
Sincerely spoken,
From deep within,
Seeking the light in your eyes,
Filling the spaces left unheeded,
Settling in the forgotten corners,
In hope of promise,
I give these to you.
Words.
Strung together,
To form a dream of lace and pearls,
Promises of Paradise,
Sunsets cascading into sunrises,
Witnessed by two hearts
Side by side on tranquil shores.
These words,
Will fill the empty promises.

filling a void

Rest your wandering eyes
upon this work
full of promise.
Paradise regained
and witnessed by
wanderers
herein.
