Strange Songs Strange songs bleeding in the wind torn notes crippled and twisted; muted beams of light dying sun fading into night, caught a thought before it could die, wished I hadn't… all it did is make me cry. Sand beneath my feet sucking life from skin and bones, tortured arms of buried souls, scraggly twigs grasping at life forever gone, whispered words in the wind torn apart, misunderstood, not heard, not heard. Strained relationships, love so strong cast away, torn apart by misplaced thoughts, wicked words not meant to be said sliced and diced, shredded hearts and souls, nothing left, nothing left, but strange songs bleeding in the wind torn notes crippled and twisted, I caught a thought before it could die, wished I hadn't heard your name, all it did was make me cry. First, I love the title. Second, I could feel every line. I will save this one! Thank you. |

JWesley~ It's not strange - but it sure is sad. Awwwwwww ! Wonderful job of melancholy medley ... 'caught a thought before it could die, wished I hadn't… all it did is make me cry.' Poignant piece, poet. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

jwesley, it seems it's been awhile since I've seen one by you, might be my timing to the board, but I am absolutely glad I didn't miss this one, it is superbly woven. May I copy and save? |

~J,...the repetition of the 'not heard' and the 'nothing left' makes such a heavy impact. This piece is hammered inside my head. Heartbreaking, and well expressed. *Peace you. Haven't seen ya in a while. |

"Wish I hadn't heard your name all it did was make me cry." Crying in the rain works the best...James |

You write with such emotion, James. You pull the reader into your feelings throughout each line. Great work! All writing comes |

Thanks, JLR, kinda liked the title myself...got lucky with it. Yeah Marge, don't know where this came from, wrote the first line and it just kinda went weird from there. VAS, yep been awhile...gonna try and get back in here again...gonna have to work at writing too...haven't done much lately. Copy, keep anything you want of mine, just kinda remember me when you read it (hee, hee) SF - thanks my friend, from you I'm honored. JamesMichael...crying in the rain masks the tears...when I cry I want to feel them as I feel whatever has made them flow. Thanks Sven...nice to be seen again. Ah Martie my friend...thank you. LW - Thanks to you...for the kind words... having the reader feel the feeling is what I strive to do, whether it be pain, happy, love or what ever... IR - or, probably should be anyway...save all our eyes. Thanks my friends... |
