the quality of sleep

head on pillow
body wide awake
too tired to sleep
too tired to get up
and answer the call

a tired mind argues to
let auto answer take over
but I tell myself that
a call back later
is the same thing as no
and there are no other ears
but mine who concern
themselves with the ringing

so sweet talking and crooning
in all the right places
I soothe the caller once
and then as the ringing
continues, yet again

softly snuggling
a contented smile
tells me that I have seriously
affected the quality
of my sleep

I like this one lots, lady... and who needs sleep when they can have softly snuggling with a contented mind??? Not this gal! LOL. Well done!

thanks lady, just wish it had helped my monday a bit more...I think I am about ready to scrap monday and try for tuesday instead ...sigh
